Your answers are too vague. If you want to improve your stock setup, then Brembos and Hawks are probably $450.00 shipped to you.
If you have an open checkbook, and really need significantly better braking, then look at upgrades in the $1,000 plus range starting with StopTech front brakes.

Good shocks/struts will change several characteristics of your car. Great brakes won't fix that issue. As a matter of fact, you may be disappointed after spending that money on brakes, and still needing shocks.

Better pads might fix that. Maybe you just need new pads. If you want you could get a pad that is decent for autox.
Better tires might fix that. If your tires have no traction, you won't stop when your pads are trying to do work. Your tires will break traction earlier when you get in the brakes. What type of tires do you have?
Drilled or slotted rotors won't help you stop faster. Though for some reason people must have them, and many have been ok on them. I think you'll find a better improvement from the above two.
Also the driver can improve the brakes. If your jamming on the brakes you won't stop as good as if you squeeze the brakes. I personally think that the ls1 brakes are pretty good.
