suggestions on lowering staggered car
I want to lower my car, but if I were to get, say, 1.25 inches (or any size for that matter) all around, wouldn't it look like the front is still sitting higher?
I guess my question is should I get the same drop all around, or should i get springs that will drop the car more in the front? any suggestions?
rims are 17/245/45 in front, 18/275/40 in back. I wouldnt have went staggered, but it was much cheaper (on sale).
*(Moderators: feel free to change to a suspension forum. I wasn't sure if I should post this here or not)*

The front is already lower than the rear from the factory. If you get drop springs with the same drop front to rear it will still have a slight rake to it(higher in the rear).

I guess what im saying is i wanna get wheel wells filled up more. right now in the back, its not too bad, but in the front theres noticably much more room for it to drop. I will also be putting in a system (adding more weight in back). if i did in fact just get the same springs all around, it will look good??

17/18 has NOTHING to do with the height. Overall tire diameter is what matters. As long as they're the same there is no rake to it. My drop springs are supposed to be 1.2" all around but it looks like more in the front. It looks good though.

I'm not exactly wondering about the overall height, more the gap between the top of the tires and the fender. I know my front tires are a bit shorter than my back, which is why i posted this question. If they were the same size, it would be a pretty obvious answer..

I know what you mean. Do a search on springs, and see if any of them offer the raked look you're going to need (bigger drop in the front than the rear). I think you'll have trouble finding that, so you might want to look into a set of Ground Controls, or a pair of 18's for the front.

Look for DMS springs. They lower the front more than the rear, might look good on your ride. I think there are some pics of them in the sticky area of the suspension board.

Every car responds slightly differently to lowering but if you did, for example, a hotchkiss 1" drop it should get rid of your gap, and if you leave the isolators in the rear, you can get the front to look a bit higher than the front. Mine did, but I only have 17/18 not 18/19.
You do not want the car to actually be raked too much though because it messes with your castor and camber.

SA's cost about 500 for the fronts, 300 for the rears (if you get 4th gens, 3rd gens work and are a little cheaper) Heater hose mod is taking the rear springs out, taking off the rubber isolators, getting 5/8 inch heater hose and threading the top coils of each spring through it so as to keep metal from contacting metal.
But if you want to just lower the front, dont do the hose mod
Hose mod drops the rear about a half inch, the konis drop the front about 3/4 inch.
if all you change is the shocks or do the hose mod, handling will only improve.
