I have a humming coming from the front!
Guys, A while ago I hit a curb preatty bad with my driver side wheels and I broke the rim. I had to order a new set, and an ADJ PHB to center my rear end again.
Now I got everything done in the car and I even got an alingment but when im on the freeway at speeds above 70MPH, My car starts making a humming noise. Its very little at first but If I turn the wheel to the right, it gets worse. In other words, the more I turn right at high speeds, the louder it gets.
I have no idea of what the problem could be so I was looking for some advise.
Thanks for any help!

Yeah power steering fluid is good
Do I need to replace the bearing only or what parts need replacing ???
On my 98 Malibu, I replaced the whole Hub assembly unit because of a similar problem so that was my guess but I wanted to see or hear advice from more experienced people.

the whole hub is less then $100. no reason to do otherwise. i did it myself a long time ago.
...and by did it myself, i mean i hit the curb. i didn't replace the hub myself. the car had a whole variety of problems at the time and i didnt have the time to replace it all myself (or the ability for that matter) as i was in school at the time. therefore i have no idea how hard it is
i think i still have the reciept in my car if you need help finding a part number

I did my front brakes tonight and was looking at the spindle unit, wondering how many miles you can get out of the "sealed" unit.
Looks like it had castle nuts on it -- have to replace them with new anyhow. Probably use heat (propane) to remove the bolts (who cares about the old grease cooking out). Looks a little harder than a full front brake job, but not much. I think it was just 4 more bolts. Make sure you tie off the caliper so it isn't hanging by the line. find the right torque for the bolts and use new bolts.
