Question for UMI about relocation brackets

Question for UMI about relocation brackets
i'm looking at your LCA relocation brackets, and i see that you have a set that is for the stock 10-bolt, and another set that is for a 12-bolt/9". what are the physical differences between these two pieces?
and is there anything that would prevent me from using the bolt-ins on my 10-bolt now, then chopping off the extra "tab" and welding them onto a 12-bolt at a later date?

Hello,
I will be glad to help.
The relocation brackets for the 12-Bolt and 9" are designed for the Moser 12-Bolt and 9" only. The Moser control arm mounts use thicker steel and they make them wider then factory. This means we now need to make our relocation brackets wider to fit over Moser's control arm mounts. If you purchase the bolt on brackets they most likely will not fit correctly on the Moser rear end. However if you purchase a Strange rear end they will go right on.
If I can help anymore please ask. Thanks
Ryan

That's one of the many reasons I went with my Strange 12-bolt rear end...the bolt-in relocation brackets transfer right over from the 10-bolt to the Strange. No cutting/welding involved.

You ordered a weld in set two weeks ago from us and haven't them yet? There is something wrong then, order misplaced or anything, or ordered with other items maybe. Please PM me a name and I can look into.
Thanks,
Ryan

Notice the part about the control arms causing the order to take longer? You didn't just order brackets Rick, which is what he was saying ships right away.... And when you ordered I mentioned that UMI is pretty backed up (because they build great parts). I didn't even realize they were as backed up as they are. And you have to realize that there are other steps involved, namely in this case having to drive 40 miles one way to have things powdercoated, waiting for that to be done, and picking them up again.
I know Ryan is installing his own system for this to try and speed up delivery times when it's very busy. As much of his stuff as I sell, he'd getting orders from other vendors too.

Thank you Ryan and Sam! This is great news. Sorry about the rush but it was suggested to mod the suspension in a specific order installing one part and testing to then decide on the next and so on in hopes of getting some traction and a decent 60ft. When I thought the first parts could take a month I got anxious thinking it could be August before I finished testing each part and then waiting a month to get the next one.
Again thanks for responding and getting involved.
