Which shock for Hotchkis springs?
i dont know if you guys ever heard of Keystone magazines. but they have a huge inventory of aftermarket accessories for all types of cars and i can get dealer discounts through them so i need help on which shock to buy for hotchkis 1" springs that will be used for everyday street only driving....i will list the brands in the poll that are available to me, if you could let me know what model of the shock voted for would be great..thanks

Revalved Bilstein's from Sam Strano will do the trick, you'll have a GREAt handling car without having to pay for the Koni's...
The catch is that Koni's are multi-adjustable, so if you decide that you want to change springs the Koni's can be adjusted to match...
Revalved Bilstein's are revalved SPECIFICALLY for the springs that you want, so should you decide to change springs, guess what???
You'll have to revalve the Bilstein's again.
Those two, for handling and lowering purposes, are the premier shocks for our cars.
The others that you mentioned will BLOW OUT in time causing your ride to be quite harsh and rough.
Now, if you just want your car to look good and DGAS about ride quality, then I guess it doesn't matter, go for the cheapest like Monroe's or Gabriels

Sorry I have not put a single mile on the comb yet b/c the engine is not done, so no ride quality feed back yet. I did not want a overly harsh ride that is why I went with the 1" drop and HD's revalved from Sam. I trust his judgement on the valve choices. I am hopeing it rides firmer that stock, somewhere like the SS level but better controled.

If you a smooth ride over bumpy roads, use stock springs. You will feel bumpy roads a lot more with aftermarket springs. The shock is what controls the oscillation of the spring. If you want to control the bump and rebound so that it causes the spring to compress and return only once, you will want konis or the revalves.

FWIW, you do realize that a lot of the brands on that list don't make shocks for the car, and some that do are completely incapable of damping a lowering spring well.
