Question about hose mod.

Do you slide the 5/8 hose around the coil or cut the hose then slip it over the coil? Search is down btw.

cut the hose in half and line the top of the spring with the hose.

I thought so, I tried sliding it on and it only go's half way even with lube.

Spray some wd40 inside the hose and it will slide on a lot easier, that's what I did.

Spray silicone can help too.
You can get a yellow can at AutoZone.

yep, grease then twist the heater hose as you slide it onto the spring.
Only do first full coil and leave a little extra hose on the tip to avoid metal to metal if the spring shifts a little.
Also, I remember reading somewhere that the tip of the top coils should be facing the drivers side. Don't know if it really makes a difference but I did this and mine worked out fine.
