I can't believe hardly anyone has an opinion on these.

I think I have it worked out. I will get one caliper and one rotor and take out the 2 PAB bolts and then hang my stock setup to the side. Then I can slip on the 14" rotor and position the caddy caliper. At least then I'll know what is what. If it turns out they physically won't work with the stock mounting tabs, I can then cut them off and order a Kore3 kit before it's drilled and welded together so I can position it myself. That way, no matter what, I will be able to get them mounted.

With any luck I'll be able to do it for $540.

i say get some brackets machined out of aluminum and make a couple extra sets to bring down costs. THat way u can sell the brackets and it wont hurt ur pocket as much making a 1-off set.

What if they bolt on with just a few mods?

I really don't think there is much of a market for these.

There was a thread on this a while back. Guy was working out a bunch of stuff to use the whole Caddy system on his car, don't know how far he got with it, but a search might return something favorable. If you figure anything out, I'd be down to try it out. I've heard nothing but good things about the Brembo 4piston.

Here's as little advise, ck out some Corvette forums. I have heard that the new C6 ZO6 brakes are junk. I thought of doing that also until I have read that for the money a good set of C5's with the right pads will out perform those c6's. Just my .02. I would definately look at the Corvette forums first before spending that much jack. Good luck.

Yea, I've read a lot about them. They seem fine for the street, although extremely expensive when you consider calipers and pads compared to the CTS-V setup. It's the extreme use or race use where the C6 Z06 are just not durable and the pads wear out very quickly.

I'm kind of putting these on the back burner as my PC system in the car was giving me trouble so I pulled it out and will be replacing that whole system. I just don't have the money to mess with the brakes right now. I will point out that the stock calipers with the Carbotech Panther Pluss pads still work like gangbusters even with the new 19" rims.

OK, big news folks. It's been confirmed that the CTS-V Brembo calipers are a direct bolt on to the LS1 spindles when using the 14" vette rotor.

So if you already have the room for them, this will be a really badass $500 upgrade. The only thing it needs is a few thin washers to space the caliper out a little. This was confirmed by EB Miller who sells lots of different brake kits for the 3rd and 4th gens. Here are some of his pictures:

Is that $500 for everything up front? What size washers?
Got any part #s ?

Hey, Are you sure you don't work as a sells agent for a major credit card company...........?.....LOL

And I wonder if there's a obsessive/compulsive disorder for modifying cars.....LOL
What would you call it...........?

So maybe it's time to sell some of my extra mmats sub amps so I can upgrade my front brakes

Yes, I can beat that. How about the cost of a few washers? BAM!

Yep.
$90 for each rotor and
$157 or so for one complete caliper with pads and clips.

So with tax, maybe $540 or so.

I'll post the part numbers in a minute.

I believe these are still good numbers for the loaded caliper. Prices flunctuate. Do you really need the number of the rotor? There's only one like it.

here are the #'s with calipers loaded

25750250
25750249

$166 each
I was also working on getting these calipers to fit a smaller rotor for the 17" rim guys, but haven't had much luck. The 13.4" Z51 rotor might fit under the 17". Here's is the bigger thread with more pics.

so let me get this straight, those are 14" C6 rotors with Caddy Calipers? performance wise, how will these hold up? i remember seeing in the beginning of this thread that the C6 brakes are not good for track use just everyday use.

Where( what website) did you find find the CST-V caliper and brake pads as a complete kit, because I can only find the parts separate and nothing comes up with those part #s ?
Also do you need the brake hose and overhaul kit too?

And yeah, I don't need the rotor pt#.

FYI prices at GM have jumped up lately so check around to get current pricing. GMPD gave me $183 each for the loaded calipers. I have 2-3 sets of CTS loaded calipers in the shop now if anyone has trouble locating them. I'll see what I can get them for as well, I work with a few GM dealers/vendors.

This would be a great setup for both street and performance driven cars. The ZO6 rotors are DBA units and can take some good abuse.
