Brake suggestions
I was thinking about getting cross drilled rotors and possibly new calipers (would like them to be red) Guess I can just put decals on any calipers or paint them...anyway
what would be the cheapest and best wasy to upgrade my brake system without buying a 4k baer kit...
Thanks....will continue research on my own but look forward to suggestions.
Here are some areas for an upgrade:
* New stock-sized blank rotors (ex: Brembo OEM blanks or AutoZone Duralast)
* More aggressive pads (ex: Hawk HPS or more aggressive)
* Better brake fluid (ex: ATE Super Blue)
Here are some areas for a further upgrade:
* Wider & Stickier tires (Tires are your actual contact to the ground. Once you lock up your brakes, its your tires that are limiting your braking ability. I have first hand experience with this too. My ABS kicks in a lot more with my winter tires than my summer tires.)
* Install Corvette C5 rotors using a kit (I think there is a kit for C6 Z06 as well)
Next:
If you want to upgrade further, you can look into a big brake kit which will have even larger rotors and new multi-piston calipers (4,6,+).

(Don't do what absolut said, he was joking.)
Thats only a few threads.
There are many many more threads about drilled rotors and upsizing rotors.
