quick brake lube question
newbie question this is first brake job. Do I apply the brake lube to the pad??
It seems prety obvious, but just wanted to double check

The small tube of blue or red or grey lube that comes with pads goes on the metal back plate that faces the caliper. Its anti-squeak lube/grease. Lube/grease should not go on the friction side (the side that faces the rotor).

The disc brake quiet stuff goes on the back of the pads (red, blue, etc) kind of a rubbery liquid
The caliper grease (stuff I got is black and greasy/messy) goes on the caliper guide pins after you've cleaned out the caliper pin slots and pins.
Are his pads done? Could he drive around for a half hour riding his brakes to clean it off? Just wondering
