Question softer rear springs?

hey guys i need some spring help.
my car is lowered with hypercoil springs[from what i read they are one of the stiffer springs] and my car does not transfer weight to the rear at all[watched a vid of my car at the track]so im wondering if there is a softer spring some one could recomend for my car.
i have the following suspention mods-lca's-bilstien hd shocks-relo brackets-lowering springs-and an edelbrock aj ta[going on monday].
im slowly geting it all together but the rear of the car is way to stiff.
ill also be ordering some dr's next week.

the stock z28 front and rear springs are very good for weight transfer. They will blow away what you have now and will work nicely with the bilsteins in a drag/street style setup. Lowering is not great for drag traction due to the stiffer front rates as well as the stiffer rear.

Drag Radials will help you alot either way.

What you need are not softer springs, but a shock that can correctly control what you have now.

The shocks, I don't think, will help. He is looking for something that will help transfer the car's weight to the rear for a better launch.

shocks will def help with weight transfer . But you will need new springs for the front to match the shock. the rear factory springs work good for weight transfer.

www.pitstopusa.com.

Our cars use a 5.5" pigtail spring and a 10" free length spring.

Rear rates for off the shelf springs are typically in the #125-150 range.

What are talking about Mitch? A rear springs for these cars is a LOT taller than 10". Hell, the springs used for weight jackers is longer than 10", and the jacker itself adds height.

Hypercoils are quite stiff rear springs. They don't do anything to help the car squat. Aside from that, they are way beyond what a Bilstein can control correctly. Drag shocks won't help make the springs softer, and then you'd be left with an even worse shock/spring match up. You need to consider a different set of springs.

My bad ...

http://www.pitstopusa.com/SearchResu...ategoryID=4561

I'm running an 11" spring with the upper isolator for a lowered stance. You have an option to go to a 12" spring.

Sorry for the confusion ...

And remember, these are linear rate springs, not progressive. So, there isn't as much inititial spring sag.
