squeek!
I have this really bad squeek that is coming from my passenger rear suspension, it started doing it only on bumps and such, but now it does it on acceleration, decceleration, cornering, bumps EVERYTHING! and it is driving me nuts...my dad thinks it is the rear strut, but would it squeek if it was going out? suspension is completely stock other than SFC, and adj TA and only has 26k miles on it...Also if it is a strut where would i get a replacement and how much ??

A lot of my squeaks seemed to disappear when I did my spring swap. I think probably because I removed my shocks and swaybar and retightened everything. I'm not saying that is the reason why they went away, but it's worth a try to see if it works for you too right?
And stock shocks are pretty much junk anyways no matter the situation

I got the same problem from the same place I have already inspected it and cant come up with an answer, the only thing I can think of is maybe my shock or spring so I would be really interested in finding out what was causing your sqeek

I don't know if the shocks are what making your squeaking sound. These cars have lots of rattles and squeaks in many places.

no i was talking about just goign back stock for now...they shouldn' cost too much for stocker i would think.
also i was just wondering if it is POSSIBLE for a shock/strut to squeek while going out, i know it is hard to diagnose a squeek without seeing and hearing it

I've had squeaks from about every suspension bushing and
you just have to slide under and grease them up in turn 'til
it's all quiet again. Just go and do it. If they don't need it
now, they will eventually.

I used the graphite / moly assembly lube (like for old flat
tappet camshaft installs) a couple of years ago and hasn't
squeaked since. It's messy but seems to leave a good film
where it counts. One tube should set you for life.
My PHB has zerk fittings so I just used the gun on that.

im pretty sure you unbolt it and put it in the hole the bolt goes in. does anyone else thing that the bushing should be pulled out and greased on the outside as well? im about to do this also.

update: today i finally got around to playing with stuff. The first thing i did was jack the car up and made sure everything was tight, then i dropped the LCA at its front mounting point and lubed the outside edges as well as thoroughly coted the bolt, put it all back together some lock-tite and went for a ride. Amazingly IT completely fixed the squeak!! Thanks for the help guys..
