Default UMI K member

or K member and upper and lower A arms

My goal is weight off the front end. and Im getting the road race K member, because I will occasionally take it road racing and I drive teh car pretty hard even on street. Its a DD and will have a head/cam soon pushing over 430RWHP....

I know I already want the K member.

But is it worth getting A arms, and if so, upper and lower? or is stock just fine?

because the way I see it, im not really saving too much weight with the aftermarket ones.... and are the stock ones flimsy and should be replaced?

i would replace the upper and lowers as well. why only upgrade half the front sus and leave the other old/ beat stuff in there.

also go to the auto parts store and get new upper ball joints for the new upper a arms they were 35 bucks ea.

the uppers/lowers are gonna def be better then stock who cares if they are a lb heavier. i lost 28lbs in the swap. youll lose about 25lbs since the RR Kmember is 3lbs heavier

heres my install that i did last week. it should help you out.

Are the upper and lower control arms lighter than stock components? If not, I'd probably just get them to have the camber adjustment. The kmember would lighten the front end and make room for easier access underneath. Just make sure the kmember you get can handle racing.

Are there any other reasons for getting different upper and lower front control arms? I dont see how the metal portion of them would be flimsy, except maybe the rubber bushings.

the lower a arms are lighter, the uppers are about 1lb heavier. and yes you get the added bonus of full adjustments

id say about 25-30.

its def worth it IMHO.

dont forget to do other weight mods as well, like raceweight battery abs delete, ditch the cruise control etc.
