Default Powerslot rotor keeps warping

Im on my second front left rotor from powerslot, and it has warped within a week of install. I followed the break in instructions exactly. I torqued down the lug nuts to 75-ft-lbs. Ive bled the system.

I can jack the car up, and spin the tire, and hear the scrape. My right side is perfectly fine.

I know it cant be two defective rotors in a row, but what else can cause this to happen?

Bad caliper? Maybe the right side hasnt been bled enough? Wheel bearing going bad?? Any help will be apreciated.

Should of bought Baer rotors instead. They are cross-drilled & slotted and come with a life time guarantee . Simple bolt-on stock replacement item. I too had problems with those on my Stang. Got Baer's on my Z , NO PROBLEM !

Thanks for the sugestions on other brands, but I dont think its a quality issue, since only the left side is warping

Im just wonderin whats going wrong with my car, not with my rotors!

I would think that your caliper piston is sticking. Try and take a look at it and possibly rebuild it or get a rebuilt set at autozone, kragen, or another parts store.

If you rebuild the caliper check out installuniversity.com. They have a good install document on how to rebuild with a new boots and seals.

Are you feeling a shaking in the wheel when you brake? if not, the rotors aren't warped. It's normal fo rht epads to rub the rotors when the wheels spin, and many times it sounds like a scraping sound (especially if you are running aggressive pads).

The torque setting for the lugs is 100 ft lbs not 75.

Have you checked your hub assembly? If the bearings are gone in it, it could cause your rotor to warp since there is more tolerance for movement.

Like rich Z said, 75 ft-lbs is too low for lug nuts. The torque should be at least 100 ft-lbs.
