Because your new spring rates are approx double the rates of the stockers and no stock, stock replacement, or "upgraded" parts-store shock will have sufficent valving to damp the springs for more than a few weeks of driving, if at all.

But if you're happy with it- thats all that matters

The driveway does not do it justice. Should have found level ground to take the pics although it doesn't look bad from what you have shown.

PLEASE take into account there are a million different cars, and just as many things that effect the way pics look.

I just posted 4 threads of cars with my springs on them, and none appear that low. You have this with ALL springs. When you have say 100 shots of what you want, and 5 of it being lower, which do you think is more likely to be the accurate portrayal of the real drop.

I had the same thought, "boy that looks low", but I noted the driveway and the stock size tires (which are overwhelmed by the bulbous fenders on a Firebird and always make it look a touch lower anyway). I also don't know if the front indexing ring and rear isolator made it back into the car, both of which would lower it more than normal.

Good point,

its just that I live in hickville and everyone drives trucks. speed bumps are sometimes in excess of 4 inches. I have to be extra careful on stock springs and lower koni perch. I really like your spring rates, but I still need to be able to get out of parking lots

The only "lowering" spring that would cause you less issues in cases like that would be SLP Level 1's (which we also have). But if you are borderline now, that might be too much too.

My springs pose no more problem with dragging than any other springs, and a lot less than some.... We aren't super low. Most cars end up @ about a 26" ride height in front on stock diameter tires.

I would think the level 1s would be too soft

You don't happen to have the SLP level 2 springs do you?
