Default Sub Frame Connectors

Looking at buying Sub Frame Connectors for my 2001 Camaro SS. Just wanted to know what everyone else is using. I'm thinking about getting the BMR Weld in. Also what color should I gor with?? My car is Pewter. If anyone has any pics please post are send them to me. Would like to see them installed. Also anyone is the Houston area where is a good place to get them installed? Thanks!

I'd go with UMI and get black. They are not a show piece so IMO they should not be a color that stands out. Especially since you only see about 1/2" of it.

Yep, That's what I was thinking. Going with black. Why did you go with UMI over BMR any reason?

They just seem to be in the forums more. Their site seems more about customer service, quality parts, how they're built, etc. BMR just seems to offer parts 'heres what we have' thats it.
Plus Ryan at UMI seemed to go out of his way to help me get some old design replacement parts for one of their products.
So not only does their site reflect good customer service, I have experienced it.

I have the BMR's and they work great, my buddy has a pewter hawk and red subframes, it looks pretty good, but color cost extra cash also

Had the Kenny Brown DD's on my Z, loved them. Very high quality piece!! Don't know how well they would do for ground clearance on a lowered car though.

I have been thinking about the umi or bmr tubular weld'ins for the SS as it's lowered.

I'm not sure how much difference the three point would since I've never owned them. I have the weld in UMI's and they did a great job tightining up the car. But everything is pretty much the same I just like UMI cuz they have some good customer service in my experiance. Get whatever you feel is best though.

Now that i have my T/A installed i think i'm gonna go with the 3 point ones. It's a floor mounted BMR Trac Bar. We fabbed up a cross bar that bolts in as the tunnel brace, because i didn't like the idea of welding it permanently.
So i'll use the extra bracing to support the T/A mount. What do you guys think of this?

This is the set-up we always run and have great luck with. With the 3-Point SFC's mounted under the torque arm mounting point it takes the stress off the floor and applies it into the SFC's... excellent set-up.

Funny because that's the pic i was looking at. I have one of your adj. PHB's in the mail. I will probably pick up your 3 point sfc's, when i order my reloc. brackets.

Glad to hear that you've been successful at using this set-up. The thought of my T/A ripping off my floor just doesn't sit well w/ me.

Got a pewter SS and went with the BMR weld in SFC's. They just peek down about 3/4 inch below the edge of the bod, Got the black thank gosh! would look funny with the red showing along the edge of the pewter body.
