I have this very same problem. So far, these would be the possible reasons, right?:
  • Spring Mounting
  • Rear shocks
  • Rear springs
  • Panhard Bar

Any help is really appreciated.

Don't know that there IS a problem - like many have stated, and in my case also, the car came that way (lower on PS) from the factory.

Well, if none of these suggestions work, you may want to try the "Fat Chick Mod"

Additionally, there is an offset on the rear. Maybe and adjustable panhard will help greatly. Springs are stock and rebound on the shocks seem to be even.

Yes, the rear is not centered under the car from the factory either. I never realized that until I installed my 17x11 wheels with 315-35's. It was then quite eveident that the tire on one side was 1/8" away from frame while tire on other side was 1/2" away from the frame.

Installed an adjustable Panhard Bar and took care of that right quick

And as far as the uneven ride height goes (hi on DS) - as soon as I (218 lb) sit in the driver seat the car levels out and rides even - had people watch the car from the rear to prove this.

Is it possible that GM built the car hi on DS on purpose so that car ran even with driver in seat? Seems far fetched for GM, but ya never know...

And when you have a 120 or 130lb person sitting in the car? It won't go down as much OR what about when you have a 200lb person in the passanger seat it won't sit even then. That's my only problem with that theory

So far this is the best solution for a non-centered rear. Now I know.

I guess this will also help a little with the rear height being uneven.

Things left to check in the list:
  • Springs fitment & stiffness
  • Shocks " "

Also forgot to mention, my entire suspension has been modified from stock - car still sets uneven just as it did the day I took delivery.

Only item I did not change out in entire suspension was the factory springs. I changed out all the shocks to Bilstein HD Custom re-valved shocks from Sam Strano - still didn't fix uneven ride height.

I have Chromolly Tubular Lower Rear Control Arms w/Poly Bushings
Upper Panhard Bar
Adjustable Lower Panhard Bar w/Poly Bushings
Larger Rear Sway Bar as per Strano w/Poly Bushings
Larger Front Sway Bar as per Strano w/Poly Bushings
Tubular Upper Front Control Arms w/Poly Bushings
Spohn Adjustable Torque Arm for LT's w/Poly Bushings and frame mount

None of these items had any effect on the ride height.

My big question is, if the difference in ride height that everyone is complaining about is as slight as mine, and it doesn't hurt anything, or make the car handle dangerously - why does anyone care??????????????????

Bringing this thread back from the dead, but my thirdgen had this problem too, and so did my old 94 TA. The 94 TA I have now does this too but it's barely noticeable. One thing no one seems to have addressed is the rear sway bay mounts, maybe the front ones too if necessary. What if they could be modified to pull the driver's side corner down a little bit, especially when a spacer is used on the passenger side to even out the stance?

I haveīt measure my car but I donīt think I have that problem. Might be a small different if you start to measure but the overall look at the car says itīs pretty leveled. Check link and see the picts further down. I know this was a issue so great care where taken to prevent this when I did my mods. I told this to the installer. He did this;
-the car had full tank and extra load
-all suspension parts was torqued when resting on all four wheels
-a extra look at the rubber insulator above the spring in the rear to check that it sits in the right position.
-panhard bar was fabricated as the last step allowing the car to rest a couple of days on the new suspension before measured in an mounted.
-the same guy finally did the alignment

The car runs like a dream and straight as an arrow

Assuming you've already checked to make sure the springs are oriented correctly and nothing looks out of the norm.... the easiest fix for this is to do the "heater hose" mod on the drivers side rear. It will drop that corner by about 3/4" and not have any adverse effects on handling.

My old 00 formula had the same thing always thought it was strange and thought maybe the garage just had a low spot or something. Then noticed it to some degree on most f-bodies some worse than others

I have read many cars that sit higher on the driver side. However, my Strano springs sit perfectly even on all four corners.
