Default What Shocks?

I am looking to change my stock shocks that have 113,000 on them, but I don't want my car to be lowered I want to have the stock stance. What would be the best shocks to go with to improve my ride?

If performance isn't an issue, go with some stock replacement shocks from NAPA or Autozone or Advance...

If performance IS an issue, you can't beat Konis...but you could settle for KYBs or something else. Bilstein is on back order (have been since last year, AFAIK) or I'd recommend those.

Good luck...

KYB AGXs are your best bet if you don't feel like burning 8 bills for shocks. Still would recomend Konis though. Well worth the price.

We have had good results with the Tokicos and the KYBs. Both are a good all round performance shocks IMO.

if you run on stock springs, your stance won't change.

Are the KYBs good for a daily driver with improved ride quality? I dont plan on track racing or anything like that. I just want the ride quality to increase...

Like many say, koni's the best mod they've done to the car. Quality mods, not quantity. Instead of buying some ahve decent springs and shocks, buy the koni's and run your stock springs. You won't be disapointed, especially as a DD

Bilstein HD's are also a very good shock. You can find them for $350 - $400. Lots of folks have run the Bilsteins with great success.

Good luck.

Where can you get Bilsteins now? They've been on backorder for over a year, AFAIK...

You can't get Bilstein HD's right now - and haven't been able for some time. That's why people are turning to KYB AGX. If you go KYB, make sure to get the AGX adjustable - and NOT Gas-a-justs or whatever they call them.

I just saw new ones on ebay today. I suppose that doesn't mean they actually have them. If Sam Strano can't get them, they probably aren't available.
