That's good news Joey. I still want a ride in your car now to see the difference. I just ordered all my parts and I can't wait

good stuff man... I got the same koni's more than a month ago and the ride is awesome and well worth it. Glad to see no hassle from Koni with your previous problem. Gotta make sure I have my receipt jus-in-case anything happens later down the road to mine. All I need now is an adj. PHB

LOL, thats like having an LSX car break something, and someone says "Sorry, but Honda all the way!"
QA1's are drag shocks, Konis are handling shocks, apples to oranges.
But FWIW:

Dude I am totally down. It will probably be in a month or so, or whenever.

I'd take care of you as well haha. That sounds kinda gay though doesn't it? Lmfao!

Congrats man! How was the install anyways? Besides the koni issue of course...

install took me two serperate days, mainly because of the UMI torque arm and some problems with the exhaust not wanting to go back in place. But the rear shocks/sway bar were a breeze, as well as the front sway bar. The only thing that took a little time was the front struts, just cause you have to use the spring compressor, and it can be a PITA trying to get the spring mount to line up right.. its not that bad though! I am not sure how you do the rear springs, but im sure we can look up on ls1howto.com

oh yeah and i havent done the LCA relocation brackets yet. thats for this weekend. But i do know with the bolt in ones like i have you need to cut some bracket to make them fit. But if you got weld in i think that might be a different story?

Atleast it broke there and not while you were driving or something.

Hope you get a new one though since that was definately defected.

My shock just broke in the same spot today. I had a tire company install the springs for me. What a mistake. They had to take them apart once to install the washer. Then I had them take the darn things apart again to install the bottom rubber piece. One more time to install the top rubber piece that goes into the mount. I don't know how they did it, but they broke the darn thing in the exact same spot. I don't know if my warranty will work because I only bought one shock from summit racing, and already had the other side.

As long as you have a receipt for it they should warranty it with no issues.

Are you guys compressing the spring all the way down so that the upper mount will seat against the washer on top of the koni or are you compressing the spring half way so that the upper mount is not touching the washer and then trying to run it the rest of the way down with the nut. I just don't understand why this is happening as that bolt was the easiest thing to tighten during the whole install.

Used the autozone compressor here. Just use a ratchet to tighten the bolt and be carefull not to crossthread the bolt or to over tighten it.
