Default No traction

I recently had my motor rebuilt with forged internals, and I added LT's, ORY, and changed from a flowmaster muffler to true duals. Now before all the above, I could go to 10mph, mash it, and get the tires to spin a bit and then take off (my original motor was pretty shitty condition), and now after the rebuild and exhaust, if I floor it anywhere in 1st gear I lose everything and go sideways, how can I fix this??

how much u wanna spend? for starters street slicks, sfc, adjustable LCA, LCA brackets. pending how much power you have it could cost alot to get the car to got straight. You got shocks an springs to deal with, a 10bolt thats a toothpick, so u wanna watch u dont break that if you dont wanna spend 3500 on a rearend.

One simple explaination would probably be tires. You need stickier tires to hold down the traction. Either that or just some easing into the gas pedal.

Street tires for me after the heads/cam don't work that well in the rear. The Nitto 555r keeps things planted in the rear pretty well. I would say you probably want at least a 200 treadwear tire or even less.

i agree street slicks wouldnt be the best. but for the street i would think u would wanna have something legal. if its not street use or u just dont care i would put racing slicks on there.

If you have the stock rear end and you dead hook ( tires grip 100% ) the rear will break after 2 or 3 launches. Its a toothpick as the other user above said.

right now my suspension is completely stock, and it is my daily driver so I'm not trying to use it for drag racing or anything like that, just a solid street car. The tires on the rear are BF goodrich T/A 275/40/17, and they have a ton of tread left.

I've heard that the factory rear end is garbage, but I don't really have the $$$ for an upgrade. I'm looking to increase my traction from 0 to SOMEthing hehe. So what suspension parts would help with the traction?

Tires. Your biggest problem is tires. There is no magical suspension component that will give you loads more traction. If you have wheel hop, that is one thing. It doesn't sound like that is your issue.

BFG drs should be pretty good for holding power down. You are faster, so you'll have to adjust your foot input.

You can throw a ton of money at the suspension, but the problem is your right foot.
