What do you think of this complete suspension upgrade?
Spohn Sway Bar set: includes bushings and end links: Bright Red
Eibach Pro Kit (1.25" Drop) 98-01 Camaros/Firebirds Black
Bilstein Front & Rear Shocks & Struts (set of 4) For 93-02
Is this a good combo for better looks and better handling? Any clearance problems I should worry about? Will a 1.25 drop be enough or should I remove the rubber jounce spacers in the rear?
I assume I'll need a full alignment afterwards etc.
I dont want anything that rides too rough.
thanks for your feedback!
Chris
ps- I have 17 inch Enkies on 275's as well.

For street use, that setup will work pretty well. I'd suggest the 1LE sway bars (lighter and cheaper than BMR). If you are not going racing, (and sometimes, even if you are), there is not much need for 50lb solid swaybars. But, I think that will work quite well. Don't forget subframe connectors to help keep those sway bars from flexing the body. Good luck!

Re: What do you think of this complete suspension upgrade?
Thanks for the information!
Here is what I am now thinking
1LE front swaybar with bushings: 79.95
1LE Rear swaybar with bushings: 79.95
BIL9398F Bilstein Front & Rear Shocks & Struts (set of 4) For 93-02 367.99 Orange
EIB3870140 Pro Kit (1.25" Drop Springs) 98-01 Camaros/Firebirds 229.99 Black
BMR LCA relocation brackets bolt in: 109.99
Total: $867
Should I get the poly endlink and poly bushings? Anyone know where I can get better prices than this?
are the poly bushings noisy?
I already have Hotchkiss LCA's and PHR plus a random tech torque arm. (I might be selling the torque arm)
Thanks again!!
Chris

As far as the shocks don't get regular Bilstien HD's up front with lowering springs. You're ride will be bouncy. Get revalved Bilsteins from Sam Strano or even slp Bilstiens. If you want to spend the money Konis are the best.

Do you know if the SLP Bilstein package with lowering springs they sell on their site is actually a Eibach spring?
thanks!

I would stick with the stock rear sway bar. You will be happy with either the SLP Level 1 kit, or the Pro-kit/Bilstien setup. I would suggest either the 32mm 1LE or 35mm ST front bar (which is heavy).

Re: What do you think of this complete suspension upgrade?
Great thanks! 1LE front swaybar with poly bushings it is
I want something that is matched well together and I dont think the SLP kit will lower the car enough for me...
Should I get the eibach pro kit and the Bilsteins seperately?
Bilstein shocks - Which type? I know SLP sells a "revalved" version
Springs - which type? BMR, Hotchkiss, eibach Pro kit?
Stock rear swaybar with stock bushings ok? Or should I replace all the bushings?
Poly trans mount is going in as well
BMR relocation brackets I am definitely getting.
I want a fairly comfortable ride but a noticeable increase in handling/cornering ability...
thanks!

Re: What do you think of this complete suspension upgrade?
Chris,
The Eibachs matched with the SLP Bilsteins will be a nice driveable setup. I've been using that same setup for a couple of years now. The Prokit was a pretty significant drop in my case. My SS came down 1.625" front and rear. Stance looks good IMO and there's just barely enough room to run LT's. My only gripe about the Eibachs is with the softness of the rear springs. I found myself bottoming out a lot. To solve that I talked with Louis at LG and he sent me a set of Hypercoils for the rear. Drop was within 1/4" of the Eibachs, but spring rates are stiffer. They seem to work well with my Bilsteins as well.
Have you considered giving Lou a call and see what he recommends?

I have considered Lou but LG is over my budget at this time.

Did you mean the combo kit SLP sells with the bilsteins/eibachs in one package? Or did you get the eibachs seperately with the Bilsteins?
thanks!

Re: What do you think of this complete suspension upgrade?
No, mine is not the SLP spring/shock kit. It is the Eibach Prokit spring set and the SLP-valved Bilsteins (as opposed to the HD Bilsteins). Feel free to PM me if you have any questions on this combination.

Re: What do you think of this complete suspension upgrade?
Where can you buy 1le and spohn products? Also, what about the HAL/QA1 shocks? I know a lot of mustang owners that have and like them, will they perform as well as the revalved bilsteins?
