Fast,
Directions with pictures are included with the kit. All lines are preformed leading to your stock lines which you will tap into. Fittings are included for the stock lines as well.
01ssreda4, ABS is rendered useless or crippled when the car is modified with aftermarket components. If you rely on a system that was engineered around an OEM setup, then change the OEM setup quite a bit, the EBCM has no idea what you've changed and will be reading false feedback which can actually reduce your braking ability. It may not help you in situations as you suggested. It may actually create a problem.
If you're car is 100% stock, then ABS may help you as you state. Nothing substitutes self control and safe driving. For this reason, this mod is not for everyone. It's in the same line as TCS. Many people hate TCS, many people hate ABS ...both systems are activated at times typically the user does not want and hinders their performance.

Um, yea... Gives you alot more room under the hood and can adjust the valve/breaking for the track.
I have played around with my valve a few times. The last time I went with tooo much front breaking and pushed my skinny's thru the beam. So, I back it down to where it would grab the rears more.
So now, I can stall it up a little higher for a better launch.

Steve,
If you can put it into a nutshell the pros & cons as to why a stock / stockish car should not use it I would like to know. Enlighten us if you will.![Winky](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_wink.gif)
I've always played it safe and kept the proper maintenance on the ABS. I wouldn't consider deleting it either.

I currently have an SJM kit on it's way! Going on my track car ASAP.
With skinnies up front, my ABS did not work anyway. After I went to a manual rack/bump steer kit, I could not put stock wheels and tires back on the car even if I wanted to. So... I have a heavy ABS system that is doing nothing... except make my ET and trap speed a hair slower.
Ask any hardcore drag racer if they want to remove 15-16 lbs off their car and they will say "hell yeah, in a heartbeat". ![Nod](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_nod.gif)
Can't wait for it to get here so I can ditch that heavy paperweight that is taking up space in my engine compartment.
NOTE: this is for a car that is 70% track, 30% street. If my comments seem one-sided, that's why. I'm not rushing to install one of these kits on my cars that don't go to the track and are 100% street.

Just wanted to point something out, and will admit i never read the entire thread.
My '97 K1500 pickup was having ABS issues. I pulled the fuse & its never been better. I should remove it completely, but im lazy.
My '89 iroc had no ABS ever, and i love it. Hate ABS.

So if I use this, its also a line lock? I like that this thread is going on right now, as my brain these last few weeks has said, hmmm get rid of the ABS? I've never needed it, and am modded brakes and wheels/tires. This is informative, didn't know til right now that if modded it wouldn't work properly.

Yes our kits include a line lock. If you already have the solenoid, we have the kits without the solenoid portion so you can re-use your stock solenoid.

So what's the best way to go about adjusting the prop valve to get the bias right? Drive, adjust, repeat?
Is there any way to do this without hacking up the stock lines? If I ever sell or put the abs back on (don't know why I would do either of those, but still) it would be nice to be able to do so.

Each car is going to be different regarding where the adjustable valve needs set. The lamp can be turned off rather easily if your car is <=98. Installing black tape is not a bad thing at all...its better if you do not work well with electronics. All the person is doing is closing up the open window from the inside of the clear bezel so that light does not shine through. Some years do not use a removable bulb (you have to desolder the lamp).
If you ever need to re-install ABS, it can be done. We can provide any components needed to re-install your stock setup. Sell the ABS contoller anyways...you'll probably get more from it from the folks who "have to have" ABS and their system is broken (more common then not it appears from the vast posts I read).
The kits include pages of directions with pictorials if you have problems. I am also available for questions or concerns during the install. We fully support our customers.
