Brake Pulsing At low Speed?
Hey guys. I rencetly bought a 2002 Pontiac Firebird Formula with 32K miles on it.
Ive noticed that when coming to a stop at low low speed I can feel the brakes pulsating. There is no vibration at all. Again its only at low speed when my stop is almost complete.

Brembo blanks are the best solid style rotor, but they are kind of pricey. The Duralast ones are excellent and they only cost like $30 front and $26 rear, you cant beat that price.

I have the pulsing at low speeds and my steering wheel shakes at highway speeds when braking. I know these are symptoms of warped front rotors, but I just replaced them last summer with the Duralast ones from Autozone...and I'm not hard on the brakes. Is there an underlying problem that causes warped rotors on a yearly basis?

I had this same issue, put on brand new brake pads and replaced the rotors with new ones too....still have the issue. This is on a 2000 Camaro.

Before you go and dump money into your brakes. 1. I would lift the car and rock the tire at 3 and 9 next 12 and 6. This will check your ball joints, wheel bearings, and steering componants. Wheel bearings have been known to go bad often on our cars. 2. Next I would get a dial indicator and check rotor run out. It should be under .005" but I feel more comfortable around .001-.002 If you dont have a dial indicator ($20 at harborfreight sometimes with the snake) take it to a autobparts store that machines and have them measure your brake rotors for you. Just me 2cents
