Default Are torque arms weak points???

I recently finished my H/C/I package and 2 days later broke the torque arm off the rear end. Is this common or just bad luck? It broke where the bolts run through the back and the rear end...thanks

Were you running an aftermarket torque arm or the stocker?

Ya that was the weak point. Not sure if it is a common occurance or not. But now would be a great time to upgrade to an aftermarket piece so you wont hafta worry about it anymore. Also, what numbers did you put down with your setup?

Normally they break after you have removed them and not tighten the bolts enough. The bolts get loose & then the Tq arm breaks.
