help with changing rear pads!
I'm putting the new pads in and they don't fit over the rotor. Can you push the piston in on the rear the same way as the front with a C Clamp or not? Dont want to hurt anything! Thanks!

I got it done last night thanks guys. Since the rear pistons are driven by the fluid they are a hell of a lot easier to push in. Only problem I had was lining the damn caliper up right with the bolt holes, and sliding that brake pad holder thing accordingly..Guess nothing can ever just be easy though.

When i had my maxima, i tried using a c-clamp and bent the damn thing pretty good.
The c-clamp not the caliper!!
I couldnt figure out why in the hell it wouldnt go in.
I found out, for some reason, the pots on those calipers had to be SCREWED back in!

Hey guys, I know when putting the pads on there is going to be a little contact between the pads and rotor-and when you drive and start braking they will expand. I finally got to take the car out and the driver rear pad is still screeching and catching the rotor.
I dont want the rotor to get warped, and I compressed that piston as far as it would go! The duralast pads must be kind of thick I'm not sure..Any way to take just a hair off it? I figure most of you would say sanding is a no-no. Sigh.......Thanks.

Nope. I got little shims that can go with them but I figured clearance would be a pain and was right so those didnt go in. Guess I could grease the contact points where the pad seats in the caliper?
