With a 9" I'm assuming your talking about drag racing, and not handling... It helps to straiten out your launch if your leaving at an angle with the stock one.

Our 21mm rear bar is a nice upgrade from the stocker so if you can get one for a deal I would recommend it !!

Then make sure to get a matching front bar (probably 35mm).

I agree, If it's a decent price, grab it. I use a similar stiffness rear bar as BMR, we just opt to do hollow vs. solid.

I would recommend a larger than 32mm front to go with it. I feel the best handling combination is 35/21-22 rear, or 32/19 like came on SS's and WS6's. I don't really like bumping the rear stiffness by some 33% or so and not doing anything on the front, which is the heavy end of the car. JMHO.

I would definitely not recommend a larger rear if you have a stock 30mm Z28 front bar, that's even more the wrong way, again in my opinion.

And because it is an SS you already have a 32mm bar... and a hollow one (lighter), and if you stay with that front, you should IMO stay with the stock 19mm rear. And that advice also costs me a potential sale of one of my hollow 22mm rears, but it's the right thing to tell you as far as I'm concerned.

32/21 is not an ideal handling combination, and only one year 1LE had that, but it also had stiffer front springs only and the bigger rear bar was to cover the softer rear springs. When the later '94 and up cars changed both front and rear springs, the bars reverted back to 32/19, which is what you have, and a front to rear ratio I feel is correct. My bars @ 35/22 are a very similar ratio front vs. rear.

So your saying now I need to find a 35 front?

Yes, that is what he's saying.

Either that, or learn to enjoy understeer.

Oversteer

If you have a larger rear bar than stock and a stock front bar, the car will be much more prone to oversteer, not understeer.

If you upgrade one bar at a time, get the front first.

Dammit. I always do that.

Whatever you call it, when I ran 32/21 bars, I didn't like it.
