replacing springs and shocks, what else?
I am in the process of putting some strano springs and KYB shocks on my car. I want to replace the insulators just to be on the safe side. I have noticed that there is upper and lower insulators in the front and only uppers in the rear. Should I replace all 3 of these if I am going to do any of them? Also, is there any other parts that I should replace with these? thanks

front shock mount. if your gonna replace one insulator you might as well do them all since the springs will be out. when you put the springs in make sure the pigtail faces the rear of the car.

those front shock mounts are over $100 each. if i need them, i will get them. i don't know much about it so i will have to take your word for it. when you say pigtails, is that just the end of the spring? and does this apply to front and rear springs? also, is that for the top or the bottom of the spring?

Are you talking about the rubber piece that the springs sit on? You probably don't need to replace those. If the bolt at the top of the shock shaft is seized though, you might want to just cut the stock shock shaft and put some new mounts in.

sorry i meant strut mount. allot of times these are pretty worn and when you go to istall new shocks they are either all rusted or even fall apart. I bought a set when i put my Koni's in, but when it came down to it i didnt need to. I think it also depends on where you live. i.e. i live in FL and SoCal so we dont have corrosive salts and etc on the roads to eat at these things
