You can delete the whole thing all together with an SJM ABS delete kit!

I would but I like the added safety of the abs. Plus when it times come to sell, most people want it on there.

Does the kit require everything you would need or do you need to shop for additional parts beforehard??

I have been wanting to do this for awhile.

Yea, I am checking that out right now. It looks like their kits even come with some factory type fittings.

I just want to order a high quality kit that will stand up to DD use and include everything I need.

If you sell the car, keep the old parts and re-install them. You're not damaging the ABS unit by remove it...so it can be re-used. All of the lines leading from the master cylinder to the modulator are removed as well, our lines replace them...so those would be a no-brainer to re-install.

Good luck!

I've seen a couple race cars (C5s and Mustangs) that have relocated the ABS into the cab.

Adapt to -3AN from the MC and route braided line to the ABS module which is adapted from -3AN to metric. Edlemen makes a wide line of adaptors.

Then run new lines to the front brakes and then the to the rear diff.

It's not hard nor expensive ... just takes a little research.

Just remember to keep all the brake lines below the MC reservoir to reduce the liklihood of trapping an air bubble.

Also the lines as they go towards the MC should stay horizontal or go upwards, not back down.
