Autozone doesn't have it. It's a special piece that only the GM stores would carry. The Delco brand is $43. I'm not paying that much.

I recently had this same issue... Autozone/oreillys has the socket.

Conduct Tite brand Part# 85881 for $7.99 at Autozone, or $3.49 at Oreillys.

You have to splice the wires together.

I assume the wires are in the same order?

The wires on the socket at autozone/oreillys are all black. You have to match the wires up with the letter that is imprinted on the socket. The wires on your car now should be blue, brown, and grey I think. If you look at the socket, it'll show the letter they're currently plugged into.

Okay. I got everything put in, and I wrapped the crap out of the wires with electrical tape. I had to use wire nuts since I didn't have anything else. What did you do?

You think all the electrical tape and duct tape will hold up? I was going to put on one heat shrink but forgot about it until it was too late.

If you don't think it'll hold, what else could I do? I don't want to mess with this crap again.

Also, the original wires were way too short, so it was a pain in the butt just to put the wire nuts on them.

You do not have to cut the wire or solder anything. The socket comes apart. There is a write up over at ls2 complete with pics and part numbers. It's too late to help you but maybe it will help the next person that finds this thread.

Yup. I didn't know about the write-up, though, when I did mine a couple of years ago.
