5.3 engine FS NEW PRICE Ok ive got a 5.3 engine off of a 02 avalanche with about 70,xxx miles! Has blown head gaskets. Would make a great project motor or rebuild. Im asking $500. Pick up only. Comes with all from the oil pan to the intake. Also comes with the exhaust manifolds. I dont have the pcm and i have the harness but there are a few wires missing. Im sure it would work with a little bit of wiring work and a few connectors since most of it is there. Ima try to post pics of it tomorrow or on the weekend. Thanks!

I want this thing gone! I have no use for it. I was gon start a new project for my car but the engine in my car is brand new so i dont want to just get rid of it so soon.
Well i was going to but decided im going to pay a few things off first and try to get a hold of a 6.0 in the future. Im about to buy a house so i just dont want to end up having the car sitting around for a long time cause of money issues. I hate to see my car not running. So i figured id sell it and just hold off on the project for a while. Its going to happen thats for sure but im gonna get a 6.0 though. 
careful using that motor, 5.3 had a bad batch of heads that crack, ive never seen a blown head gasket, to check pull the valve cover and check for a casting mark on the head, if it has a littl battery looking thing stamped on its the bad ones that crack around the bolt holes

I thought it was a decent price too considering it comes with everything except the accessories. I bought it from my friend at work that works at a shop and thats what he told me was wrong with it. I was going to start a new project but was planning on using the stock heads. I ended up changing my mind for reasons i posted earlier and now trying to sell it.
I have a coupe that I am putting one of these 5.3 motors in. Can't wait to get a job so I can get this project going. These are great motors that make awsome power for cheap. You can make one of these alot faster then a 302 bored & stroked out.
