look, i JUST GOT BACK to work 3 weeks ago after a 6 month layoff. i wanna catch up on some bills, and if it means selling my car that's what i'm gonna have to do.
that being said, i have a 1998 Trans Am WS6 Clone - 158K miles
good: (asterisks mean that they got done in the SAME WEEK about 4 months ago)
*new $1500 paint job
*new water pump with lifetime warranty from Oreilley's
*new tires all the way around - Nitto 555 285/40/17 with less than 1800 miles on them
*alignement
*new BMR Springs
oil changed about 1700 miles ago, Pennzoil Synthetic.
spark plugs changed last month (TR-55's)
4 speed auto
MTI Lid
Flowmaster muffler
"bump stop" mod
for an 11 year old car i would give the interior a 9 out of 10. compared to other f-body interiors i have seen mine is by far the cleanest. dash board isn't cracked, seatbelts still work, glove box and arm rest are very clean and it good working order. very small tear that has been sewed up on the driver boulster.
bad:
1) i believe it needs a lower control arm. nothing bad, probably just a bushing. just makes a "rubbing noise" when you take off from a dead stop. been driving it like that for 5 months now - i've gotten used to it
2) small rock chip in headlight (too lazy to buy a $2 bottle of touch-up paint).
3) driver side tie rod is bad (only 2 tenths out of the green on the alignement).
4) radio works but the display lights don't come on. radio stations are preset and the steering wheel controls work.
5) sometimes on cold starts the "idler pulley" squeeks. it's hit or miss but in the morning it cranks right up with zero squeeking.
6) very slow leak from the rear main seal. common on these cars (probably going to fix this after my first paycheck).
many people from this forum and another forum have seen this car in person and are fairly impressed with it all the way around.
PISTON SLAP and LIFTER TAP are very common occurences with these cars, especially with the age and miles, but my car has NEITHER
i say about $500-600 in "repairs" for this car and it would be perfect. i'm not very f-body savvy but i can tell you that the "bad things" i listed are very minor and common with these cars. i'm just trying to be as honest as possible.
engine "runs" perfect and doesn't make any weird noises. tranny shifts like butter. this is a cruiser car for looks so i don't dog on it. that's what my other car is for.
i've done one burnout in the car seeing as it was my first RWD car in my 29 years of life. haven't done it since, i promise.
you can check the tires and see that you could probably drive another car through the existing tread.
i told myself that the starting bid would be $7000, but now that i've been back to work for 3 weeks i'll trake the first $5500. "keiffer" offered me $5500 for my car last month but i declined. you can send him a PM to confirm.
again, new paint, new water pump, new tires and an engine with NO LIFTER TAP OR PISTON SLAP![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
this car looks immaculate from outside and looks very good on the inside. the ONLY discrepency on the outside is the passenger side corner of the hood is raised a little bit due to it being a fiberglass hood. the hood is very very light and i was told that fiberglass hood suck because they warp. i bought the car that way.
clear blue Texas title in hand. and i have driven it in the rain once. car pretty much stays in the garage. my other $20,000K car stays outside, HAHA !!!!

this car, as it sits, is the perfect daily driver.
even with the springs it rides very smooth. many BMR spring users have said that their car's ride like stock after the spring install. i believe'em.
car has the stock tune with stock manifolds. automatic car that picks up speed very well at half throttle.
again, anyone would be highly impressed putting their ears in this engine bay.

more pictures. again, i'm not gonna give you a humungous price and try to haggle you down. i set the price at $5500 cuz that is the minimum i'll take for this car. it's ready to move NOW. i'm driving it to work tomorrow. haven't driven it in 9 days. weather has sucked and i ain't gonna drive it in the rain.

the pictures i posted up show great paint quality and stance of the car.
it's on the stock rims with 285/40 Nitto 555's all the way around.
this is a helluva deal. whoever buys it is getting a "wednesday car" for sure.

I looked at Carlos' T/A a month or so ago. I didn't buy it only because we didn't agree on a price at the time. I have already bought another Ws6 - otherwise I'd jump on this deal.
The description of the car is correct. I drove it around the feeder road and it drove real nice.
Good luck with the sale, Carlos!

thanks keiffer for the kind words. i started at my new company on August 31st. almost 6 months to the day that i was outta work ![Sad](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_sad.gif)
i've returned all PM's.
i have put this car up for sale without wanting to negotiate. if i wanted to i would have started at $7,000 and haggled down to $5500, HAHA !!!!!
i'm just ready to move it so i'm openly letting everyone know that $5500 is the lowest i'll take. it's not a negotiation tool, LMFAO !!!!
$5500 firm.

clean title no wrecks, the only blemish was that insurance recorded it in a fema area. what this means is that a dealership turned in its inventory to insurance prior to an event incase they needed to prove their inventory before they all floated down the street in case of a flood, which never happened and the car was never turned over to insurance. yeah clean title no wrecks no blemishes, i would buy it myself if i was out of school for a daily
