No. 21 is the age for handguns, 18 is for rifles/shotguns.

Crazy in my opinion, cause I would rather a pissed of 19 year old come after me with a 9mm glock or so than an AR15 LOL.

not true jimmy, 21 to buy a handgun brand new but if your 18 you can be in possession all day every day. I dealt with police in several different states under 21 when i had my ruger p97, never had a problem at all. and that was carrying it loaded, one in the chamber, in my truck 24/7.

yup, it came up cuz i was always alone in very bad places for work, once i found that out i bought the gun and never looked back, i was 18 or 19 at the time. I think lawmakers left that loophole for a reason but idk

now im 23, so the laws may have changed since then, but thats how it was till at least late 06 early 07.

through an FFL dealer the buyer will have to be over 21 though
