GI: My 2001 V6 Camaro
** I decided to go ahead and sell it, I will be out of town for the next few weeks, but will be available when I get back the second week of September**
2001 3.8L Automatic Trans
odometer reads 165K
Engine was rebuilt in 2008, has about 20K on it, has a custom grind comp cam
Trans is stock with a shift kit, 3500 stall, b&m cooler
3.42 rear with Zexel diff
17x9 TTM replica wheels with recent new tires about 10k on them
stock suspension parts with edelbrock front coil overs eibach springs in the back
The good:
Interior is in great shape, no rips or tears in the seats.
Paint is in good shape, only a few small dings in the quarter panels
Gets good gas mileage 20city/30 highway
has AC
The bad:
its a v6 (im sure some of hate v6 f-bodies)
Leaks oil around the oil pan gasket and rear main (think i got a bad batch of felpro's)
Will probably need some ball joints in the future, starting to make a bit of noise over big bumps.
All in all its a great car, would be good for anyone who needs a good DD that isnt a POS. The last time i went to the track i went 14.1 on motor, has been 13.3 on nitrous but that was back in 2002.
It has stock tubular manifolds with a 2001 SS catback, sounds great, not your typical bumble bee v6 sound.
Was looking to get $4,000 obo just want to see if anyone has interest and get the ball rolling on finding a new tahoe or truck.

I did the work on the engine. Rebuilt, not replaced.
Spun #1 rod bearing.
Purchased replacement pistons,and rods
New: piston rings, crankshaft, crank and rod bearings, felpro gasket set
Cylinders were honed, everything was cleaned, before putting it back together
Only issue with the eninge after rebuild was the oil leak around the oil pan. I haven't had the time to take the car down for a few days to tackle the job, but a the gaskets are $60 bucks and probably a day or so of work.

That's a clean ride! Pretty impressive times, not trying to highjack, but what kind of mpg do you get with the cam in there? I have a v6 as well and would love to have a low 14 second v6. Also, is the ss catback a direct replacement? As in bolt right on?

The cam really didnt kill the gas mileage. The tuning is where you keep it efficent. usually see 20city/30highway.
The catback is easy to install, just need get a new pipe made to go from the cat to the I-pipe. if you have yoru stock exaust mounts on the car it would be even easier.
