2-up 4x4.

I have it narrowed to the 850 Polaris and the 800 CAn-Am as of now. Need PS so my wife can ride it as well. I plan on using it for everything. Hunting, trails, some mudding thrown in. Nothing real serious. I am getting out of the cars to not be a serial modder...

theres no comparison between a polaris and can-am. can-am is a beast. i didnt get the can-am because there was no racks to strap down my beer if you're into cars you will be just as bad with a quad. before you know it you'll have 1k tied into tires, a few hundred into a lift and snorkels and HID's. you'll end up wanting a radio and winch. then youll break it and end up with 1k in axles. it's a sickness lol.

also look into a rzr-s if youve never considered it. the things are almost unstopable. also very comfortable for 2up riding. my wife wont ride on my quad anymore and is begging me to find a rzr. i dont have the room to store one.

I have already started looking at wheels and tires...FML

I have considered the RZR. I was more looking at the narrow ones though. I am still up in the air about all of it. I sat in the Can-am SXS and I much prefer the cockpit on it vs the polaris though.

can-am has an awesome motor in their SXS but the suspension under it wont come close to the rzr-s. when offroad, a good suspension will get you there faster than a high power engine.

I would go with a RZR if you have a passenger, I went from riding a 4wheeler to a RZR and it way more comfortable and actually out performs any 4 wheeler that's in our group. The Can am and Polaris 4 wheeler's almost has the same with as a standard rzr 50" or you can get the rzr s or the xp if you want to go fast. I ride a RZR s witch now has a 6" lift and 31" outlaws and 14" wheels, after 10 hrs of riding I will still be fine while the guys that have 4 wheeler's are sore.

The group we ride with one guy has the can am sxs and it really not worth it, their is way to many electrical components on that machine. If he get in too deep of water it starts messing up, if his tires spin it actual has tc it reduce the hp when you have wheel spin. so needless to say he goes around the deep mud and water. Also in the first 3 months of having it he broke 3 axels, a belt and fryed a ecm, the warranty wouldn't cover it b/c he had 29.5 laws and a lift that the dealer installed when he bought it.

check out the Xtrememudmag.com forum..it's Houston based and all the members are good people and really helpful, I'm on there as well, even though I no longer have my Can-Am....

and yes it's just as addicting as modding your car...
