WTB: Front Shocks

Looking for a pair of front shocks, I would rather have a cheap stock set that works good temporarily. I went to install some springs and the strut nut is toast on mine so I will have to cut them and need something else to stick back in there for now. Not looking to go big ATM as I have no problem with tearing it all back down later on when I need shocks. Shocks must have good threads/nut on top.

I have two sets of shocks in the backyard. I'll check in the morning if they have the nuts.

I think Monroe's are only like $30/ea and they're just as good as the stock DeCarbons...

I looked for a link to post but couldnt find anything under around $55ea, however my local O'Reillys has the Gabriels for $33ea a few weeks ago. Gabriels, Monroes, etc all about the same at the parts stores

If you cant find anything here, on ebay theres a seller selling two complete sets of stock front shocks with springs and uppers for $25 per side... should hold you over 'til you can swing something better

I put monroe's on the back of my Camaro and they were terrible, I took them off and threw them in the trash. One of them was leaking before I even installed it. Put my stock 160k mile DeCarbon's back on and it is wayyyy better..

If you want quality on the lower end of the price range go with Tokico. Never had a problem with those.

I had to chisel the nuts off of mine, I think they are all messed up like that since that mount holds water. You could use a thin cut off wheel to cut the nut on each side and remove it as well.

Check with Daniel at Pro tree, he usually has some spare parts sitting around.
