plans were to to go big stall, big gears, ported heads n see what kind of numbers she can do. that was before I sold my third vehicle n been using this as a daily. if nothing happens with this I got to do a 4l80 swap caus e my l60 is going out n might as well go with a 6.0. but next year of course, n a another daily for sure.

Im in kind of the same boat. I picked up a 2005 Sierra RCSB about a month ago and was going to put a cam in the 4.8 but I don't want to waste the money buying the converter for the 4l60e. Im going to swap the 4.8 out for either a 6.0 or ls3 I have and a 4l80e as soon as I find a descent 4l80e. Im sure the 4l6oe wouldn't hold up long enough even behind the cammed 4.8 to justify buying a descent converter

maybe cam, fbo n a big shot of nitrous for that 4.8. but yea 4l80 n 6.0 or ls3 would alot more reliable.

the 1 7/8 fit you just have to notch the a tab on the passenger side. With the good ground clearance of the truck, I had some 3" ball and socket flanges from the 07+ welded on. I hate the slip fit connections.

I weld vbands on everything. Slip fits will leak eventually.
