Baddest DD ever! - 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier M5
$1,800 OBO
Hello peeps!
I'm selling the daily beater!
We'll start off with all the basics:
Year: 1997
Model: Cavalier 2dr
Mileage: 180,260 (still runs great!)
Transmission: M5 (new clutch installed 8 months ago)
Color: Blue
Title: Clean (bought from an auction)
The Good:
Car still runs great, and shifts pretty well. Had the stock clutch replaced about 8 months ago. Receipts and warranty are available if interested. 4 x 6 Sonys in the front and 6 x 9 sonys in the back, mounted tweeters on each door (see pic), an earthquake 12' sub powered by a power acoustic 1200 watt amp. Changed oil every 3,000 miles with Mobile one synthetic. New tires and balancing all around. Car still has a lot of life left in it!
Known Problems
Car leaks engine oil, and shifting into 3rd gear is a little rough when in high RPMs (makes a grinding sound every time) It doesn't make it when you shift into it slow. Paint is a little chippy. Especially the roof, the hood, and rear (see pics). Cracks in windshiel
Looking to sell to someone preferably in Texas. I won't ship unless the buyer works everything out with the shipper first. Willing to meet at the Amarillo airport to drop it off. Any questions or serious offers please PM or post. Thanks!

Slight stains in the passenger seat. Should come off with some shampoo!
I don't know what that white spot is in the photo, but it's not on the car!

I'm not really sure on the gas mileage, but it is REALLY good. I take trips every end of the semester down to South Padre Island from Amarillo, and I use about $60 of gas. That's about a 700 mile trip. I would think that it gets about 35 - 40 miles per gallon. You can prolly get a little more out of it with a new air filter and a tune up.
kwiker! Buy it! It's sweet!

Cavy's are pretty good DD's I must say. I had one for a year, bought it for $2100 and resold it a year later for $2900 of course I did maintain it, new brakes, battery, starter, etc... good little car.

Porksoda, I'll consider selling to you if you can come pick it up. That would be no problem. Send me a PM if you're still interested. It's Just sitting here in the parking lot and needs to go!
