I own several marlin .22 rifles, both bolt and lever. Quality is alway good, so is reliability. I believe the 795 is semi auto, so I can not comment on it per say, but I will say that you really cant go wrong with a Marlin...IMO

yea its a semi auto with a 10 rd clip and is made from synthetic material so it only weighs like 4.5 lbs i wish guns and ammo were cheaper here in California. there is so much bullshit fees to go through. i wish i could get the marlin 7000 but i dont know why that gun is not so popular? and i dont know if its available to california

I've never been a fan of Marlin's. I have Remington, Winchester, and Ruger 22's though.

Marlin is now owned by Remington, you might give them another try.

Ruger 10/22, ....22cal semi auto rifle is the way to go! That rifle is about the same amount of money and shoots very accurate!!! My uncle had one and I always shot it at the ranch, I was so amazed with its accuracy, that I got one myself. Straight out of the box, that rifle was accurate too!! Very Very Very pleased and wouldnt trade it for another!

+1 for the 10/22 they are cheap, parts are easy to find, mods are cheap, and they are very accurate.

I've got the older Marlin 22LR semi auto and those are great little guns . Very accurate and rarely jamb up . I've also got the semi auto Remington 22LR with the little clip on it . Its ok but the Marlin feels better and shoots a little better IMO .
