you might be able to go down to the police department and file a report or something? otherwise you may have to take them to small claims court depending on how much it was.
Edit-i see your from longview too....any pics of your car or truck i may have seen you arround. i dont see many people on these boards from my area. haha!

The first check was a business check, from a sponsor on this board. It bounced so I was sent a personal check from them after being told I would get a money order. I called their bank to try and veriffy the funds and they would not realease the info. It stared as $250 but now I have $50 worth of charges in returned funds. Plus I'm a little short this pay period because of it.
I'm not dropping names yet, but they know who they are. I just want my damn money.

First off pm me cuz I have a little trick you can use....if that doesnt work you need to contact the county da...they have a hot check procedure that you will have to follow. Most of the time its that you have to give a 10 day certified letter notification to pay up and once that letter comes back you take it straight to the county. They will make contact and issue a warrant if this person fails to take care of business....yes they will arrest this fool and he will get probation with fees to pay and if he does not pay the fees they extend the probation after they arrest his sorry *** again....its quite funny. If they somehow manage to avoid prosecution then you go to the local constables office and they have this outline of what you need to do...usually give them notice and then come back with proof you did so....then sue their sorry *** civilly and get a judgement against them. The judgement accrues intrest and lasts 7 years which does hurt.
I find it quite fun and make it a point to be there when they get arrested!
Good luck

It varies from county to county . In Bexar county , they are so big and the problem is so large most of the time they send out a letter and after a while turn it over to a collection agency . In the smaller counties like Wilson , which is next to Bexar , the problem is less since they have less residence so they make more of an effort to go after the person .
Either way , hopefully your deal gets resolved . I am sure you are one of many people waiting in line and it sucks .

That's one of the main reasons people wright checks in the first place. It's because they don't have the money and it won't clear for a couple days.
Cash or money order is the way to go.
