I haven't looked at that yet, the only place we have really checked out was San Antonio, and it was pretty nice. But nice to meet ya, would be nice to know some people when we get down there lol.

there are lots of things to do with cars if you live in dallas or in houston. since nice warm weather occurs from april until late november the car scenes for both cities is relatively large. im sure no matter where you go in texas, you will be glad you came here

If you were thinking of Dallas, you could go to Ft.Sill (Lawton OK) about a 3 hr drive... Are you just wanting to use the PX/commisary priviliges or are you still in?

Which branch are(were) you in? SA has a lot of AF bases including Randolph, Lackland, Kelley USA, Brooks, etc. There's also Ft Sam Houston which last I heard was the medic training center for all branches.

Well, I've been on all the air bases around here and Randolph is the nicest IMO. There are also some nice places out on this side (east side) of SA like Schertz, Cibolo, Universal City area. As long as you stay out of Converse though....

I've just had a few run-ins with some rather 'questionable' people over there. Stay out of The Glen!!

I've been in Converse my whole life basically. Nothing wrong with it. I do agree with you on The Glen lol. Cops can be dicks, but Schertz and Selma cops are worse in my book.

HIPER - If you choose a good spot in San Antonio, you'll be happy. Austin is a nice city also, but very different than here. Houston and Dallas are two cities I would not move to unless you got the right job offer. El Paso is way out there.

Never had a problem with the Converse police but I will NEVER go to the Walmart on 78 at night again.

HAHA. Yeah after the "first" shooting that took place there (first shooting I ever heard about not long after it first opened) and told myself I wouldn't go there unless absolutely necessary. I live not far from where the Universal City/Converse "border" meets, good area IMO. Lived in this neighborhood since '99.
