gotta be short hair and something that will just look awesome. i saw a black lab crossed with a pit bull and it was sweet but my friend got it and it was the last one. so any ideas of what i should get?

i have a Italian Greyhound and its a pretty kickas little dog, very fast and energetic. loves going for rides and just chills the whole time we're riding unless we are close the apt. or my parents house then he sits up and looks around like he knows where we are.

i know in the "pitbull" thread i said that i would NEVER own a breed outside of the American Pitbull terrier, but i kind of fibbed.
i currently have a 9 month old French Bulldog. short haired, huge ears, stout as hell and looks awesome. i picked him up cheap for $900 from a guy in Livingston. makes a great house dog. normally they are $1300-1500 so i told my wife if i found one for less than $1000 i'd buy one. if i was gonna spend $1500 on a dog i'd most definately have gotten an English Bulldog.

It depends on what you want a dog for. Base the type of dog on your personality.
Are you a "couch potato" and just want a dog to watch the games with? Get a Bulldog.
Are you an active person that could handle a dog that requires lots of excercise? Get a Lab or another Retriver that can run loose and satisfy it's curious nature and tire itself out.
Are you Paris Hilton that that needs a friend? Get a Chihuaha.
Whatever your needs. Rescue a dog!!

downsides to an English BD
1) needs to stay inside
2) bad with allergies
3) breathing problems
4) 90% of females have to have c-sections to give birth
5) hip displaysia problems due to build
other than that, i would have bought one cuz i would have been able to get around those negatives.

Stitch is barely 9 months old. he's staying nice and thick too. runs around like he's on crack. to be honest with you, i think i heard him bark, once.
