The rental is being paid for through her insurance, along with the repair/hospital/perscription bills. The car was dropped off today at the body shop and I picked up the rental while I was there. I'll probably hear something back from the body shop early next week I presume.

The car has been declared a total loss. Estimated $9,300 without pulling body panels off, more if they dug into it of course. He said the frame rails in the rear were folded up.

Looks like I'll be looking for another vehicle, not another F-Body though. I lost interest in the T/A shortly after getting it last year. Before that, I drove a '98 Z28 for almost 5 years. Time for something different.

That sux bro. I just hydro locked my motor and need a new one as soon as insurance pays out. Are you going to buy it back or what? I'll buy your engine from you if you do. I NEED one bad as my car is my only car. I'm in a rental now as well. I'm the one who bought your true duals several years ago at the Mobil in Duncanville.

Sorry to hear that man, but the car has already been settled on. I picked up the check today from their office and deposited it into my bank.

I have to say, State Farm works quickly and they were very cooperative. They extended my rental out until Tuesday though they could have canceled it as soon as the car was declared a total loss.

My medical claims will remain open until I'm sure I no longer need medical attention and once all the bills come in.

I'm not sure exactly what I'll be getting next. Unfortunately I'm out of a job right now, I was actually on my way to an interview when this all happened. I rescheduled the interview for Monday, so hopefully that pans out for me. I'd like to get into a C5 Z06 but that's not happening without a job.

Yup. Luckily when I got rear ended in my camaro, the bitch hit me at slow speed. How the hell do you hit someone sitting at a turn signal???? My bitch was talking on the phone---WHILE---reaching for a pen.

I have worked with Best In Show in Garland and American Body Works in Lewisville. Both are top notch. Stuarts is new to me. Do you have pics of your work??

Chris if you're tired of the fbodies you may try looking at either a c5 frc like you were saying before or maybe the 6.0l gto. Hope you got a good deal out of the totalling, enough to pay off the loan and get something nice.

Good luck with the interview man, and let's grab a beer sometime.

Don't forget to armorall them tires.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind a C5 FRC but I'd still have to take out a small loan in order to get one (and in doing that, it might as well be a C5 Z06.) They pretty much paid me what I originally paid for the car, so I got a good bit back after the payoff. Who knows, I may end up getting another Camaro (preferably hardtop 6 speed) because I'll have enough to buy one of those cash.

I'm going to putt around in the rental until Tuesday, see how the interview goes on Monday and try to make a decision then. If you aren't busy tomorrow, I'll give you a call and see what you're up to.
