first of all its Tequilla, and second of all it shouldnt go bad if its sealed...but its not gonna be stronger or aged more, because its been distilled allready. but since its that old and probably exposed to the indoor elements...i dont think it will be as strong or good. it might taste oxidiced but try it it could taste just the same

With age comes smoothness! Taste it! It should not be as harsh as a week old bottle.. I would kill that bottle so fast!

Did you know that if you get a bottle with a warm it contains 30% of the alcahol???

cuervo is never good

I doubt it will have changed much. Give it a good shake, toss it in the freezer, and make some drinks.

My favorite tequila is El Jimador (sp?)

Its pretty cheap, glass bottle, and 100% agave.

That's not the case once it has been bottled. The aging goes out the roof when it is removed from the barrel. The only thing that may help is that before 2001cuervo was a better tequila. In 2000 there was a huge disease that spread to all the Agave farms. One of the reasons the price went up.

Cazadores > __ tequila
Mescal Ipiña > tequila period
Pulque is for old people
Colonche is good too; a drink that is traditional in SLP, Mx and that is made from prickly pears fermented in covered pots.

I usually stick to the anejo blends. Patron isn't to bad, but over priced. It's also owned by Paul Mitchel, and they do not grow their own agave.

Price wise, I usually grab for Huradura, or Tres Generationos. Tres is made by Sauza, but is smooth, I like to leave it in the freezer. Campo Azul isn't too bad, it is also an anejo you can get for around 20 bucks.

Don't forget that Cuervo does make some nice blends. Their top shelf is pretty smooth. (Cuervo Especial)
