LMR's Twin Turbo Camaro at 60-130 event!!
We did not have the car ready in time to make the saturday event but we did manage to make it out to baytown on sunday for another 60-130mph event. Josh drove Kelly Bise's car to a 4.24 60-130mph time. I do believe this makes it the fastest manual car in a 60-130mph event.

No...this had to be bad information. The worlds fastest Auto ran a low 3.9X, no way on 2 shifts a lambo will run .7 faster than the Camaro did Sunday. I can't remember the name of the site that keeps the statistics, but if the record was valid it would be there...

there was a UGR TT Gallardo that did 3.5, Peter even verified the data. I almost forgot about it too, insane.

A few things of note...there were 2 shifts during the run, the 3-4 shift cost about 2 tenths, or more... I bet this car would have run a 3.3 or faster had he rung out 3rd gear another 100 rpm or so. Also, in 3rd gear it was making almost 1.2G's...simply nuts. Lastly, if you go back and look at the 3-4 shift, you can see that by the time he hit 130, the car hadn't even recovered from the shift as the G's were still rising. This car still has 100 rwhp left on the table, with speed dependant boost, a bit more power and no shift from 3-4, it could run in the 2's......

Sick car. Did they get any 1/4 mile numbers from the pass in the last vid? I wonder what it will trap.

Not trying to take anything away from the Lambo, but I wouldn't consider that transmission a true manual tranny. Don't forget I actually had to use the clutch pedal. Even though the car only went 4.2, I will gladly take that for the first outing...there's still more left in the car and we'll definitely find out just how far we can push this combination next time.
It was good to see everyone and I had a great time!
