good restaurant- houston
my wife is turning 25 this weekend. i want to take her out to a new place for dinner. what places would you guys recommend in the houston area? i was thinkin maybe El Pueblito or maybe 17 but i dont really know of many good or interesting places to go. thanks in advance

price is probably of least importance. she likes sushi, steakhouses, mexican food... oh and she loves the melting pot but we have already been there a million times lol. we live in spring but dont mind driving downtown or wherever for a good meal. we like to try new places as well.

My wife and I ate here before a concert in the Woodlands. They have really good dry aged steaks and bugers, if you like dry aged. It's a little closer to you as well.

yeah i had heard of fog de chao but i didnt know the name. thats a really good idea. thanks for suggesting that . thats a little more of what im looking for. a kind of unique experience would be nice.

I could have sworn someone told me they opened up one in the Woodlands, any verification? (Fogo de Chaos). Also off of Research Boulevard, duck under the underpass till you get to I believe it's "6 pines", there is also a Brazilian Steakhouse where they bring the meats to you table and you tell them if you want the 8 meats they bring out o not. Northside of Research Forest. It was around $150 for 3 adults, 1 child, 2 alcohol drinks tax, title license and tip. .

Tokyo One at night time for good Sushi, cold crab legs all you can eat accompanied by the usual good stuf on Japanese buffets as well, on and Dungenous Crabs. $22 +tx per person. Tomball Parkway 249/Gessner.

thanks for all the suggestions guys. i think we are gonna try fugos. also might go see that paranormal activity movie! ive heard its crazy scary. i will definately be trying out some of these other suggestions in the future tho. thanks again!

houston downtown aquarium is pretty cool. You dine next to a huge aquarium. Definately unique.
