I like the St. Regis and Hotel ZaZa. The St. Regis is the old Ritz Carlton. It is in the Galareia Area. It was recently rennovated and has a real nice bar. Hotel ZaZa, http://www.hotelzazahouston.com/ , is in the Medical District and is the old Warwick. The Rockstar Suite is an awesome room! You can hop on the train and go downtown.

Icon is a cool place as well. Magnolia is a nice hotel and has a cool pool on the roof...I believe it is heated.

Good suggestion so far but very pricey and what part of town you will be in would be helpful so you don't spend all your time driving or stuck in traffic.

Inn at the Ballpark and the Lancaster get 2 thumbs up from me. Stayed at both for weddings, I would go with the Inn at the Ballpark first.

Zaza, I lived next door to the Magnolia for 4 years. Nice place, but I prefer Zaza. Icon, the Inn at the Ballpark are also nice.

I am in need of a badass hotel also. I will be getting back from deployment in Dec and the wife and I would like to get away for a couple of days. I would like something with a jacuzzi or hottube in the room. Price is no factor as I am willing to spend up to 300 bucks a night. Something in downtown Houston. Anyone have any thoughs? Also, I have searched and searched on google for something, but have came up empty. Please help me out.
