I know you said windsheild, but i had a cop slam down two tickets on me. One for the front windows 20%, and one for my back windows 2%. $162 each, of course i didnt pay for them. My attorny took care of those and the speeding ticket i got along with them for a total of $150.

You can't tint the windshield. You can add a eyebrow down to the line marked on winshield which is about 5-7 inches from the top. Should you find someone to do it, it'll be hard as **** to tint with heatgun. Not mention it'll be a pain when it comes to updating stickers. Your money, your time. You either need glasses or shouldnt drive at night. Eyeglasses reduce glare and cutting back on night time driving definitely helps.

My buddy just had it done by a tint shop he has used for years, its barely noticeable, very light film. I did not think to ask him how he was going to get his stickers off when the time comes! I bet they left that area with no tint film...

That would be the only hard part..and it'd make the windshield tint more obvious. I've never had any problems with going below the AS1 line before, and have had limo tint probably 3" below it.

I had 20 on my front and 5 everywhere else on the 350z. I was never pulled over for it, but i did have an officer in Waxahachie say something about it but he didn't have his meter so he let me go. I told him i asked about it and was told that 35% was ok on the front and anything else is good for the rest of the car, so i put 35% on the front and 5% everywhere else, he laughed and walked off.

Anywho, a group of us got pulled over b/c of some reported racing on the highway where we were stopping traffic or something like that...i mean, come on, who does that...a complete stop, NO!

I wouldn't tint it for night driving, do it b/c it keeps the interior a lot cooler or b/c it's great when driving around on a nice bright sunny day...but really, it definitely gets your adrenaline up when driving around at night when there are no street lights, even with HID's.

edit: Put the inspection and registration stickers on after the tint, duh.

Looks good Kwiker! BTW, we all know to put the stickers on after! I am more concerned with the possible damage that may come when its time to remove/renew. More to the point, the concern is about a careless inspector going to town on the sticker with solvents/scraper!

in the state of texas you can not have the winshield tinted and the front windows can be no darker than 35% and the back window can be as dark as you want it to be, **** you can have cloth just blocking it off if you wanted, hint (work vans...) but if you want the front windshield tinted just think about those dark roads you might or might not travel down with no street lights, you will be kickin your self in the *** because it will make it SOOOO hard to see, that just my .02 though.

yeah you will have one hell of a time getting that inspected legally, unless you get a hookup from someone... if there is anything below the AS1 line it's an automatic fail... some inspectors may not care but if it was me i wouldn't pass it... the inspector has no idea if it's a sting car or not and the dps/troopers don't **** around when it comes down to that stuff... not worth the risk imo

For the inspection sticker, if you can get the guy to just toss it in the car or something (probably not happening if you don't know the guy, but if you don't know them, they probably aren't going to pass your car anyway) and then when you get home, put it on a plastic bag and cut it out, then take some clear tape and make a 1/4 inch border like your registration sticker has and you are done, comes off easily when it's time to renew and it isn't very noticeable.

edit: as far as removing, i always take it off before anyhow b/c the guys at the inspection place are lazy and they won't clean off all the residue...freakin cvnts.

seriously? tint the windshield because of oncoming headlights at night?

try a pair of sunglasses. much cheaper, easily removable, and 100% legal.

Oakleys. There solved your problem. The legal tint for the state of Texas is 26% for the front to windows. No limit on the rest. I like the tinted winshield on the Z though. Still not legal. LMAO

One guy tinted the top part of the windshield 5% and tinted the rest 20% and it really threw you off making you believe that the window wasn't even tinted.

I have had an "eyebrow" beyond the AS-1 line since '02. No tickets yet but I have gotten some warnings.

I also dont have a front plate. no tickets for that either.

Although both will give an officer a reason to pull you over.

If you don't smoke weed, crack or sniff blow while driving... go ahead and tint your ride. The ticket will be dismissed if the tint is removed.

I got Limo all the way around for $140 "w/lifetime" warranty but the guy is no where to be found. lol!

But I got another guy.
