5.0 = 410+hp > 6.2 = 400-425 dependin on if its in a vette or camaro
they have dynoed 2011 stangs anywhere from 375-395rwhp so if u do the math its more then 410hp
yeah...
but it also has 16 more valves and 3 more cams...
so wouldnt that pretty much even it out?
i also heard FORD made the most out of it. like you cant really add more power to the motor, unless with FI of course... idk. thats what i read on other forums, but im not sure.

haha wow ford finally makes just as much power as the ls motors with less motor (1.2L's less) and this excuse finally comes up.. i guess if you want to think its an even playing field then by all means!!

The Z28 is very much alive, photos of it testing at GM proving grounds surfaced just a few months ago...then later reports for "z28 drive shafts" orders.
Only a matter of time.......

Your on LS1tech Ross the Alvin Hoss, there will be no such mention of the GT500 which is a bad *** car with huge power potential with simple bolt ons and blower upgrades. Mike at G-force has set up a couple that are monster with not all that much done. But alas lost on the GM fan base, both camos are filled with idiots though.
The 4 Valve Mod motor Ford heads have been great since 1996, the current GT500 heads are bad *** pieces. To me this is Fords first mod motor meant for NA power, toe to toe with the GM stuff. They had the Mach 4 valves and 01 and prior Cobras. When my LT1 was pretty much dead stock with a cold air at most maybe, I always loved racing the 96-98 Cobras because it was always damn close. But the mod Ford always shined under pressure, not NA. Who knows, maybe with boost and meth this new 5.0 will be just as great. THis is the right time to be a fan of these cars, they maybe fatties, but they're briniging the heat son.

GTs have run 12.8-13.0@110MPH out of the box, you can get different gears, both those had the optional 3.73s, you can get 3.55s also. You also have shorty headers out of the factory already on the cars. Nice cars, I don't like the rear end (looks) but other wise I like them a lot. A plus is Ford dealers honor supplier pricing programs on it. The Camaros sell so well, the Chevy dealers dgaf and expect you to pay MSRP. Dollar for dollar, performance wise, a used C6 can't be beat though. GM whored out so many incentives on them, so long as you can filter out the ***** who want $35K for their 2005 auto, you can find deals on them. Ford hasn't given two ***** about the GT since the fox body ended, they left them under powered because they either sold well or had no direct competition. Now they are under fire on both ends, so Ford had to step their game up. Ford's done well with the 03/04 Cobra program and does great with the GT500. I think if you need 4 seats, a used GT500 is the ticket.

What i have been saying is that i will be impressed when you can get some power out of the stang with some bolt ons, but as mentioned earler, i think they are strapped from the factory and will not have much room to grow, unlike the 6.2 that just makes a ton more power with bolt ons and tune.
Other than that, give me pushrods or give me death.

i was asking...i wasnt stating.
to me, it is pretty impressive that they can make that much power out of a 5.0. but like i said..i think they made the most out of it.
