Default HELP! Sold my Mustang almost 2 years ago, kid charging up toll bills

If anyone has any information regarding the owner of this vehicle please let me know! This kid has racked up a nice little chunk of change in toll charges. I remember him saying that he is from Weatherford, but the tool charges have stemmed from Austin. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It has "LAWLZ" on the license plates.

2 years ago and you are just now finding out about it? Thats strange, but I hope you can rectify this. TX Tag customer service has little sympathy...

Go to the DMV and fill out the form that says you sold the car, don't remember which form it is. Call the toll authority and tell them you sold the car 2 years ago.

Call police and go to DMV get those tags off your name, and report it to TXtags as well.

On the top of the title, there's a piece you can detach and send in stating you no longer own that vehicle. When I got my TA from my dad he made me send that piece in.

we have a driver where i work who has a toll lag from ntta and thought it worked on the austin toll road also. the toll way association sent the company a bill for over $7500 for almost 2 yrs of tolls and late fees. they are that far behind i think. the tolls might be that old in your case as well, but none the less i would call and get that car out of your name.

Reason I always get a written bill of sale with all my cars.Protects both parties.Had this happen on my last car and all they asked for was to be faxed a copy of the bill of sale and they took it right off.

Since its still in your name, go get a duplicate title from tax office. Then find the car, take it back, then sell it quickly. Use the money to pay off the tolls.

same thing happened to me in Houston, I sold a pick up truck and did everything I had to do to make the deal legal(title transfer, bill of sale,etc..), got the letter in the mail for the toll fees, took all that proof of transaction on my part and still had to pay $355. TX tag are relentless, hope you have better luck than I did, bro.....
