I know it's a KR, but a 2010 GT500 has the same amount of hp as a 2009 GT500 KR.
You can compare the SS to a GT500 because they are in the same class. It's not Ford's fault Chevrolet does not produce a higher HP Camaro at the present time. All Chevrolet has to do is drop the CTS-V motor into a new SS and call it the Z28.
Would you be comfortable comparing a 550hp Z28 (if it gets produced) to a C6Z? The C6Z would still rape the Z28.

Yeh it started getting that way when you suggested the gt500 vs the SS is fair because they are both the fastest factory produced of each manufacturer?!?!?
Why would you pay 15k more for a GT500 to have a faster car? You could buy a SS strap a supercharger on and put the 9k in mutual funds. This is strictly on which is faster....if you want fastest factory produced domestic car ZR1 it is......ACR viper is not built by dodge its like comparing a hennesey camaro to the GT500. Which according to your "they are comparing the fastest of each model" line is not proper.
When it comes down to it I could build a chevy or ford that runs 10's......but history has proven almost always Chevy has cheaper horsepower than Ford.

If you can't understand different "classes" of cars, you need to just stay out of this thread all together.
Let me make this REALLY simple for you.
The GT500 and Corvette ARE NOT in the same class.
The GT500 and 2010 Camaro SS ARE in the same class.
Please don't bring up aftermarket mods. We are comparing factory production vehicles and if you think a Ford GT500 is not mod-friendly, I feel really sorry for you.

Saw a new 5.0 Stang at the local track, El Paso Motorplex. One of the guys that is a local racer got to send it down the track. 13.9 e.t. That was at over 5000ft with da etc.. So not bad at all.
Eye for an eye.. A trip to Mexico and a trip to HRP???
