Default Fishing spots in Cypress,Tomball,Katy?

Wanting to find a decent fishing hole on this side of town since I just moved to Cypress.

Does anyone have a private pond, or even know of a good creek or "bayou" in the area where I can go?

If it is a private pond, I would be more that happy to trade permission for beer

It'll be catch and release and I will be very clean on your property.

If Magnolia isn't too far for you, my parents live in Indigo Lakes. No trophies, but you can catch bass, cats and pearch. Park on the side of the road at the park area, or follow someone in to the parking lot, take your chairs, cooler and fishing gear and have fun! Bring worms, because when the plastics aren't working you can catch all the pan fish you can stand!!

I don't know if it is any good because I have never fished there, but a fair amont of people fish Buffalo Bayou where it crosses Westheimer Parkway in George Bush Park and my friends tell me its pretty good.

Thanks to all for the responses, I may try the place in magnolia.

I'm not much on bayou fishin, I'm a northener by birth, so ponds and creeks are my specialty.

Blackfly- thanks for the info, but I'm not much into pay ponds.

Anyone else ?

Most neighborhood and parks stock their ponds for recreational catch n release.

New development in our area built some massive retention ponds, not sure what's in there yet. It only takes a couple decent flash floods for creeks to overflow into them lol

+1 on Indigo Lakes. We have a pond in Clear Creek Forest (2 mins from Indigo) but nothing like Indigo. I can take you up on the beer offer next time I make a run out in the gulf. Spend most of my days off in the gulf during the summer.

That pond behind hot wells has tons of bass but you can get ran out there pretty quickly since its behind the skeet range lol! You can see the pellets hitting the water.
